Unifying operations after a three-company merger
Led the integration of distribution operations after Shout! Studios, FilmRise, and Gravitas merged into Radial — unifying avails, assets, metadata, and delivery.
Key outcome
Two organizations unified into one operating model
Executive summary
Led the integration of distribution operations after Shout! Studios, FilmRise, and Gravitas merged into Radial — unifying avails, assets, metadata, and delivery.
Situation
Radial Entertainment was formed in 2025 by merging three distributors into one of the largest independent libraries. Each brought its own systems, processes, and ownership conventions.
Challenge
Mergers create duplicate systems, conflicting metadata, and unclear ownership. Cross-brand delivery had to keep running while the operation was rebuilt underneath it.
My role
As VP of Digital Operations, Nick leads much of the post-merger operational and technical integration.
Actions
- 01Mapped both sides' avails, asset-tracking, delivery, and metadata workflows.
- 02Defined the surviving systems and the future-state operating model.
- 03Ran the rights-management migration to Rightsline as business lead (Phases 1–6 complete).
- 04Enabled cross-brand delivery across all major platforms during the transition.
Systems involved
Results
- A unified onboarding-to-delivery operating model across the merged company.
- Rights-management migration delivered through Phase 6, with Phase 7 in progress.
- Cross-brand delivery to all major platforms without interruption.
Transferable value
Post-merger integration is the same discipline anywhere: inventory both sides, choose the surviving systems, assign clear ownership, and keep the business running through the change.
